Bands
Sugar Tits
Sugar Tits is the name of my San Francisco band. We’ve been together since June (or July?) 2008. We all met at Ladies Rock Camp in Portland, OR in May 2008 and decided we wanted to keep playing music. (THANK YOU a million times to Lisa Summers for bringing me with her to LCR!! Go read her novel on TheBananafish.com)
Cheryl Sugarbaker is our rhythm guitarist, Leisa Thornton is lead guitar, Tai Miller is our vocalist and I fake-play the drums. We’ve been through two bassist and are looking for the right person to join us in the basement. (I’m sure it’s my fault they keep leaving.) For pics check out our pathetic MySpace page.

Wonderful Bad News
I also play with some amazing Sonoma women in a still un-named band. At one point we all agreed that Wonderful Bad News was our name, but since we haven’t gotten together in almost a year, it doesn’t really matter what we call ourselves. These amazing women are April Howell on bass (who just recently had a baby so we’re using that as an excuse for not playing), Lisa Summers, my favorite writing partner, on guitar, the fantastic super busy singer Sue Albano is our vocalist and I’m the lame drummer. For the record, Sue and I agree that our band should be called Moist.

Mark’s Ex-Girlfriend
It all started with Mark’s Ex-Girlfriend, the band Lisa Summers and I were in at Ladies Rock Camp. We chose our band name from a letter we found in the back of the bible at our crappy Days Inn room, written to some guy named Mark from a woman who just got out of prison and had ghetto-lamented in the bible that this”Mark” hooked up with some girl “sick from drugs” instead of waiting for her. Other band members were Portland morgue director Nikki Costa (cousin of musician Matt Costa) on bass and Liz McFarland from Seattle doing the singing. I have video but it will cost you.
