Short Films

I’ve done a few. Here’s my favorite, a little stop-motion I made for our Less-than-Amateur Film Festival some friends and I put together in 2003. Reel Too Real uses audio clips from old reel-to-reel tapes my aunt would send to her fiance while he was in Vietnam. Bob and I set up the computer in our kitchen and used our dining table for the “set.” Lacking better equipment, this little film was shot entirely with our funky web-cam, using bedside lamps attached to chairs for lighting. Every 3 seconds of the movie is 100 still images. I’ve dedicated this movie to my aunt Carol (the voice in the movie) and uncle Carl (seriously, that was their names) who were tragically killed by a drunk driver less than two years after his return from Vietnam.

I’ll put a few more movies up later if anyone is interested.
