Television

*svtv 27 sonoma donna haysSonoma Drive-in Movies on local Sonoma television SVTV 27 are your favorite classic horror and sci-fi films hosted by a wide variety of interesting and even frightening characters. I hosted Reefer Madness in episode 4, but don’t watch it. I also helped produce episodes 6, 9, and 11, and I’m currently working on several others. SVTV is broadcast on Comcast channel 27 in Sonoma Valley or online at SVTV27.com.

*Sonoma Dragon Varsity Football games are filmed live and broadcast on SVTV27 during the high-school football season. I am the “Director” of the program, which means I tell my four camera people what shots I want and then I decide which of those camera views will show up on the television screen. It’s pretty good for a local production of high school football, as we have Bob Taylor doing local sponsorship ads and score board shots, Bob Smith putting in instant replays (very cool), high school student Rachel Glago doing on-field interviews with players, coaches, cheerleaders and fans, with fantastic professional play-by-play announcing by Tim Livingston, all carefully coordinated inside a specially equipped trailer. It’s a lot of fun and I’m really proud to be a part of it.

* In January 2008 I was elected by community members to sit on our local Springs Redevelopment Advisory Committee (RAC) that meets once a month to help decide how to spend the $120 million in our redevelopment fund. If you’re interested in learning more about this project, go to the Redevelopment page on Sonoma-County.org. I encourage you to read the Frequently Asked Questions About The Springs Redevelopment Area and get involved if you live in “the Springs.” Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 7:00pm at the Boys and Girls Club, and broadcast on SVTV 27 the following day at noon and 7:00pm (I think those are the correct times).

*Last and least, you can view the top of my head as I co-host Mornings in Sonoma with Sonoma mayor Ken Brown every other Friday from 8:00 to 10:00am on KSVY 91.3FM in Sonoma Valley or streaming on KSVY.org. A radio show on TV. I don’t really like it but, hey. I’m not in charge.
